Can I be a fictionalist about the existence of Donald Trump?

    • You can, but only after Trump ceases to have non-fictional existence. So either you have to wait for him to pass out of existence, or you have to expedite the process. There are pros and cons to either approach.

      • But if I adopt a fictionalist stance on Trump, then I will not need to wait till “Trump ceases to have non-fictional existence,” because I will then hold that he has never had non-fictional existence in the first place.

          • I guess a radically fictionalist account of Trump does lend a certain urgency to “Stop the Steal.”

On a related note: After 500,000 deaths in Ukraine and 38,000 in Gaza, I do wonder why I’m supposed to give a shit about Trump’s dinged ear, but apparently I am. With any luck, they’ll both die before the election, leaving the country in a state of anarchy.
