Can I be a fictionalist about the existence of Donald Trump?

You can, but only after Trump ceases to have non-fictional existence. So either you have to wait for him to pass out of existence, or you have to expedite the process. There are pros and cons to either approach.

But if I adopt a fictionalist stance on Trump, then I will not need to wait till “Trump ceases to have non-fictional existence,” because I will then hold that he has never had non-fictional existence in the first place.

I guess a radically fictionalist account of Trump does lend a certain urgency to “Stop the Steal.”
On a related note: After 500,000 deaths in Ukraine and 38,000 in Gaza, I do wonder why I’m supposed to give a shit about Trump’s dinged ear, but apparently I am. With any luck, they’ll both die before the election, leaving the country in a state of anarchy.
