Once More Against War with Iran

I just did a quick search, and it appears that I’ve written or posted some thirty-odd items on Iran over the last dozen years, almost all of them expressing opposition to the idea of war with Iran. A few date to the years 2014-2019, but the bulk cluster in the first few months of 2020, when the first Trump Administration decided to escalate against Iran. There are then a bunch of posts in mid 2025, corresponding to the last US-Israeli offensive against Iran last June, and then a few over the last month or so, in anticipation of the latest one.undefined

Rest assured that I’m just as opposed to the current war as I’ve been to the idea of war with Iran all along. Though I’ve got no shortage of Iran material in queue or on the drawing board, I have a very long backlog of material unrelated to Iran that I’d like to get out. I’ll try to post both sets of things when I can, but if you see non-Iran content posted that seems incongruously out of sync with current events, the explanation is simply that I can’t write or edit fast enough to keep up with current events, not that I’m disengaged from or indifferent to what’s going on. My view on the war is essentially that it’s the consummation of every nightmare I’ve had for years, but since life has now become a series of nightmares, I’ve reached the point where I try to take it all in stride without breaking stride. I cope by writing, whether on topic or not.
