It originally was password protected, but it’s not supposed to be now. I’ve occasionally encountered the problem of a lag between my making a change and WordPress updating it, so maybe it’s that.
I was reading a book on hacking published in 2018 where the author described WordPress as “antiquated” back then. Not sure what word applies now.
